First Bath & First Smiles

Avery's cord stump didn't fall off until he was about four weeks old, so he was almost a full month old before he had his first real bath. He loved it, just like his brother always did!

He also started smiling around four weeks! I am pretty sure Ari didn't smile before the six week mark. We didn't manage to get tons of shots of the smile that early, but here are a couple... it was definitely there when he interacted with us. Now he smiles as soon as he sees me or his dad after he wakes up, and he smiles at me during and after nursing. :)
